A Reader’s Digest pollreleased today named Dr. Nancy Snyderman as one of the most trustworthy people in the US.

They polled over 1,000 Americans poll to “discover which individuals and the ideals they represent have earned our confidence.” Dr. Nancy came in at number 30 in front of such notable Americans as Hillary Clinton and Oprah Winfrey. Read the full article here.

CarePlanners to Participate in TEDMED’s Hive

CarePlanners was chosen to participate in the Hive at TEDMED this year in Washington DC. TEDMED selected 50 start-up companies to be a part of the hive and announced their selections today.

Leadership from each company will be in attendance at TEDMED 2013 on April 16-19. The event brings thought leaders from a variety of industries to celebrate their passion for improving health and medicine. CarePlanners is thrilled to be a part of this illuminating event and will report on some of the highlights in the coming weeks and months.

In the article, Alan discussed the burden he faced dealing with the healthcare system when he was diagnosed with thymic cancer in 2005.

” I discovered firsthand that there is a culture in our health care world where the various professionals around the patient often do not communicate, do not cooperate, can be careless and are anything but the patient-centric model we are led to believe exists,” he says.
